Our Story & Mission

Mamasun Ceramics is my way of sharing the culture and joy that have shaped my life. Growing up in the Philippines, every gathering was a celebration where even the smallest moments held meaning. I pour that same warmth and spirit into each piece I create, using pottery as a way to connect with others through color, resilience, and a love for life’s simple, beautiful moments.

Every piece begins with the clay in my hands, carefully shaped to bring something meaningful into your home. Like roots that weave and connect, these creations are made to find their place in your life, enriching the everyday rituals that bring comfort and joy. At Mamasun Ceramics, I focus on bringing artistry and a spirit of celebration to each piece, crafting objects that carry a story and reflect the joy I hope to share.

The name Mamasun is a heartfelt tribute to my family. Growing up, my siblings affectionately called our mother “Mama,” while I always called her “Mom” or “Mommy.” The “Sun” is inspired by my father’s nickname, Sonny, and also ties to my own name, Soleil, which means “sun” in French. Together, Mamasun reflects the light, warmth, and love that my family has always shared with me.

Now, as a mother, the name has come full circle, taking on an even deeper meaning. It stands as a symbol of the connection, gratitude, and joy that inspires everything I do.
